WWW: Some really good work on your blog - impressive. Great to see consistent, highlighted use of media language - an excellent habit to get into early on in the course.
EBI: A few key things you can work on... Always write your analysis in paragraphs to ensure you are covering each aspect of the media text in enough depth and detail. For the RBK 50 Cent advert, I
think you could have written a lot more about the kind of message RBK were trying to get across
(the preferred reading). Finally, you need to develop your media consumption over the next year
- you can't only read the Sun if you're a Media student! Use Twitter to follow the news and media
worlds.
LR: Reflect on your first month of AS Media. What is your strongest piece of work so far? What is
your weakest? What specific skills or knowledge do you need to develop over the rest of the course?
LR Response: The first month of media went well, as I have learnt new keywords, and got to know more about the media life. I also learnt how to input media language into my work, and how to analyse a still image in depth. The strongest piece of work so far is my work on lighting, and my weakest is media consumptions. The specific skills and knowledge I need to develop over the rest of the course is to highlight media text, and separate my work into different paragraphs. Also I need to start reading more of the news.
